Came in to a little bit of a cold/rude welcome.
Didn’t feel like me & my party of 3 was welcome in. It was a last minute Sunday meal.
I had the staff immediately glaring at us from behind the bar, more like gawking to be Frank.
The feeling I got was that one of that the staff wanted to finish early & ‘us’ coming in foiled that plan for them.
We are told “it’s going to be a hour wait, you do know that?”, we are in agreement “that would be fine, we shall have a couple drinks whilst we wait.”
Really felt when the front of house told us about the food waiting time that his tone of voice indicated to us, this tone was used to try put us off waiting”
We Proceeded to order drinks.
Orange juice was fresh (or seemed at least) ,I didn’t ask for ice. But they Put it in there anyway, as it was only ‘half a pint’ of juice, the amount of the ice density took around 40% of the glasses content space.
Leaving me with a estimated 113ml of actual juice contents. Short lived orange juice eh?
I ordered the ‘half chicken’, but was immediately told it would be replaced with a smaller portion of “nicer” chicken.
The way the dude spoke sound like he was abit high or even ‘low’ to describe it better, this is the same dude as the guy who gave us a-bit of unwelcome vibe.
Food was really decent for £13. Maybe 3 roast potatoes instead of 2 would have been a treat.
Food Serving was 20 mins before the hour time they had stated Wich is good 😁!
Nice bit of customer service from the woman who brought the card machine.
Would have given a 3.4 but due to google reviews systems I cannot.
Probs come back in the later future, maybe.
Went for the Sunday roast, which was so disappointing. Carrots and parsnips were hairy, the Yorkshire was hard, the roasties were soggy, Instant mash potatoes and my friend had 3 bites of cold chicken. Also, No stuffing and they put the gravy on for you. Absolutely not worth the money, Wouldn’t recommend.
The staff however were very welcoming and we got our food very quickly. We also didn’t have any drinks, just soft drinks.
Beautiful place with incredible service and delicious food.
The servers where brilliantly helpful and friendly, the chef was very understanding and accommodating
Came here to try the Pie and Peas - it was good! There’s a daily selection of pies to choose from, and plenty of beers and cocktails to choose from as well. The pie I had was beef and blue cheese - good stuff! The pie did take quite a while to come out. Overall I was there for over an hour, which is quite a long time for what I thought would be a quick bite!
Unbelievably shocking.
Staff were found out to be complete liars and obviously misandrist.
Made threats to me and my friends for absolutely no reason other than for their own emotions.
You will not get a single penny of my money ever again.
A good selection of cask and keg beers (keenly priced, especially during happy hour), a sensitively refurbished heritage interior, and a menu of pub classics makes for a decent destination pub just outside the centre of Sheffield
It used to be the Old House, it's opposite Brewdog Sheffield. 8 craft beers on tap including 3 from True North, Sheffield. 30 to 40 craft beer cans and bottles. Free WiFi. Between 4pm and 7pm all True North taps are 2.50 a pint
Absolutely beautiful vegan food. We had the bhaji sandwich and the tandoori kebab 👌🏼 …
